Assignment Extension Accommodation Guidelines
The purpose of the assignment extension accommodation is to provide reasonable flexibility for students with disabilities if episodic and acute disability symptoms interfere with the ability to meet a course assignment deadline.
Course Substitution
Students may need to seek course substitutions on the basis of a documented disability that inhibits the ability to learn certain subjects.
Limited Adjustment to the Attendance Policy (LAAP)
The LAAP accommodation is determined based on a review of appropriate documentation from a qualified medical or mental health professional and through an interactive process with the student.
Reduced Course Load
Students with certain functional limitations may qualify for a reduced course load, which allows the opportunity to enroll in fewer courses than required. Students must submit an application and documentation to start the eligibility process.
