DAPi Membership Requirements

The organization is accepting applications throughout the year. If you are interested in this opportunity and meet the requirements below, please complete the application for membership. The induction ceremony is usually held in March during the Spring semester.

DAPi has an initiation fee of $30. Please make your checks payable to DAPi UTK chapter. Checks should be delivered to Student Disability Services, 100 Dunford Hall, Knoxville, TN 37996. For more information or if you have any questions, please email dapi@utk.edu.

Criteria

Students who are eligible to be initiated into Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society (DAPi) meet the following criteria:

Undergraduates

  • Present with a documented disability and work with one of the advisors in the Center for Disability Resources (or similarly named program), or who self-identify as an individual with a disability
  • Complete a minimum of 24 credits
  • Maintain an overall Quality Point Average of 3.10
  • Demonstrate an interest in disability issues

Graduates

  • Present with a documented disability and work with an advisor, or who self-identify as an individual with a disability
  • Complete a minimum of 18 credits
  • Maintain an overall Quality Point Average of 3.30
  • Demonstrate an interest in disability issues
