Coordinator for Interpreting and Speech-to-Text Services
Biography
Heather serves as the Coordinator for Interpreting and Speech-to-Text services. In her role, Heather meets with students to determine eligibility for services and also recruits, schedules, and supervises Sign Language Interpreters and Transcribers. She also coordinates all interpreter/transcriber requests from students. Prior to coming to Student Disability Services, Heather has worked on several federally-funded grants and contracts at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, which all support research and collaborative partnership opportunities in the field of deafness and disabilities.
Ms. Webb received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree in 2003. She was awarded the Certificate of Interpretation in 2006 and Certificate of Transliteration in 2007 from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
